The Wall Comes Crashing Down - GOP insiders predicting Obama Victory

I pray to God that whoever the next president is, he gets us out of Iraq and starts encouraging alternative energy.

There is nothing wrong with this country, that a little wisdom could not solve.

Even more in requirement: LEADERSHIP and INSPIRATION

Obama beat Hillary, and now he is going to beat John McCain.

Although why anyone would want that job is beyond me.

Thank God, the smirking chimp will be gone.

Worst president in American history.

You sound like right wingers talking about Bush and WJC circa October 2000.

Maybe worst to serve a full 8 years.

Carter was worse.

Carter was an awesome negotiator. If you really look into what he accomplished in world politics, you'd be amazed. Nothing flashy, almost boring, but settlements effective enough to stand today. History beyond the rhetoric will look favorably on the Carter administration.

He was not a brilliant commander in chief and he was swayed to easily by opinion polls, but we have certainly had more politically partisan, self-centered and destructive presidents... Carter was ahead of his time.

It was always the Democrat's election to lose. The Democratic-controlled Congress didn't make it easy for Obama, but they'll probably be replaced soon.

Well I noticed the Cons and Republicans on this board have so far ignored this thread.

Facing reality isn't a easy thing to do I'm sure. :eusa_whistle:

Frankly I have been saying since I joined this board that Obama would likely win.

We will all get what we deserve for putting the socialists(democrats) in full charge of our entire government at exactly the worst time to do it. The very people who gave us Freddie and Fanny and the CRA. The very people most responsible for the sub prime mess causing this economic collapse.

Americans are at their core reactionary fools, and they are living up to that label in this election.

Democrats will not fix anything, in 4 years things will be worse not better.

Enjoy your victory Libs, and enjoy watching the further decline of America under your savior. Barrack Obama.

About the only thing good to come of this election will be no more GWB, the destroyer of the Republican Party and Conservative movement.

This is going to be the repeated excuse for the next few weeks.

"It was always the Democrats election to lose, so us getting our asses handed to us doesn't matter."

I'm with you. The GOP should lose. And as I've pointed out, this actually might be a good thing. The Democrat-controlled Congress is almost done and Obama is a relatively weak politician, so we might have a repeat of the glorious 90s (after 1994, of course).

I will enjoy it immensely.

We will get out of Iraq and begin to develop alternative energy.

You do realize that Democrats actually have a chance to get 60 seats by the time this election is over?

And Obama isn't a "relatively weak politician."

Unless you can find loads of politicians that have beaten the Clinton machine in their career?

Yes. I'm talking about 2010.

Obama is a very weak politician. He's the most inexperience politicians in more than a hundred years to run for President. Furthermore, he flip-flops on major issues to get votes. He should be easily manipulated if he wins.

The Clinton machine, as you call it, only works if there is a spoiler candidate like Ross Perot.

No. Because the parties are now Populist and Populist lite with fringe issues for extra flavor.

I will enjoy it immensely.

We will get out of Iraq and begin to develop alternative energy.

We will have an agreement to be out in X amount of years. But the signing of it will be heralded as great accomplishment.

We will not have and alternative to oil and coal in 8 years no matter who is elected.

I think you are right.

They are watching football, and their team is losing.

Why do so many people treat politics as if it were a sport? They take more pride in their side winning than the actual results of who they elect. I'm sure which ever side wins will be here gloating November 5th that there team won and they're better than the losers.

Some honest questions for the supporters of either candidate.

Isn't McCain just a more "liberal" version of GWB? (btw Bush is Neocon NOT a conservative)

What is Obama going to "fix" from the Bush administration? Is he going to repeal the patriot act? Is he going to correct all of things the Bush did to defy the constitution?

What is Obama going to "fix" from the Bush administration?

Everything

Is he going to repeal the patriot act?

Hopefully

Is he going to correct all of things the Bush did to defy the constitution?

Absolutely

I think things are changing DEPITE the best efforts of the insider party to keep a lid on things, personally.
