Third Eye Blind was not my type of music, but they were very popular for a period. I was more into The Smiths and The Pixies.

It was NOT an RNC event.

It was some charity associated with the RNC. They raised some good money for the charity. Everybody wins.

actually, if you look at the first tweet you linked, the event was NOT associated with the RNC. It was a benefit for Musicians on Call which brings music to the bedsides of patients in hospitals.
