Trump Is Stalling His Presidential Transition With an Unprecedented Ethics Stalemate

The transition also sets the tone for the administration’s approach to transparency, accountability and public trust — which is why it is so essential that this team pledges to ensure their duties are carried out with the public’s interest in mind.

It is unclear exactly why Trump has not signed the agreement or shared who has contributed to the transition efforts; however, his most recent financial disclosure reports point to one potential reason.

Trump has a number of holdings that raise significant conflict of interest concerns: including his new cryptocurrency business, majority stake in the social media network Truth Social, real estate properties, books, and licensing deals.

With trump, and no other politician, trumples are willing to look the other way regarding things like this. There's something about how they think of him that's different. As though he's their Dear Leader or he's the head of a cult or something. Which is weird, right? Cuz they keep saying he isn't.

It's weird how dembots are already saying there are conflicts of interest, even though no agreement has been signed.

Frankly, wants the point of you all are gonna claim it regardless?

Trump 2.0, and we have the same failed attacks

A strongman knows he has to take care of his oligarchs. The oligarchs know it, too.

Look at Putin right now. The oligarchs are getting cranky, and he's getting nervous.

Ethics? Fuck ethics if you're the GQP.

I also want to know where in the Constitution it requires anything to be signed at all.

So you must be predicting trump will divest himself from his crypto business and never post on his social media platform during his entire presidency.

Wait.........do you think he isn't violating ethics requirements if he doesn't sign the pledge? Nah.......you can't be that stupid.

I am still trying to figure out why HITLER wants LESS GUN REGULATIONS AND LESS GOVERNMENT CENSORSHIP AND SMALLER GOVERNMENT.

Like always, cult fucks are full of shit.

There is no requrement in US Constitution, but the Act of 1963 simply is in place to help with the transition.

During the transition period, the Govt will provide the new Admin with office space and other services, if they sign a ethics pledge. There is of course no requirement to do it.

If the Xiden admin is providing Trump with office space etc that is a little different....i do not believe they are though

Not at all, why in the world would he do that? A President has no legal requirement to divest from their investments.

Were it not tragic it would be comical that Repub's labeled Biden "quid pro quo Joe" without evidence, yet here is trump already rewarding Musk for his financial backing. I think Elon is pleased with his ROI.

As it stands, we don't know who has been paying for trump's costs during the transition. We don't know if he will boost the value of the DJT stock holdings by making all manner of pronouncements exclusively on it. We don't know if he will continue to promote crypto for his own financial benefit.

What we should know is he will divest himself of his business holdings. Not pretend Donnie J and Eric and running things without his knowledge like in the first term. What a joke that was.

For the GQP, every accusation is an admission.

The fact that they'd go after Biden on ethics and morals when have fully bent over for Trump is just amazing.

They know they've sold their soul. So they do the only thing they know: Attack.

Xiden was labeled quid pro Joe because he was getting 10 percent kickbacks from foreign deals his son made on his behave.

Not to mention selling classified intel he stole to his book publisher.
