When a school shooting happens and 30 kids are being buried, all of a sudden they couldn't give a fuck about people's security and talk about how some problems are to be tolerated.

Schools need better physical security and armed guards/teachers. We are not going to disarm the nation for you socialists.

I second this, but the victim in the given write up was raped in a NYC park. In other words, security people need to be everywhere and not just in schools.

You presented a strawman argument. No one INCLUDING Republicans want to see kids put in danger in schools. We are all for securing every single school in this country, we've demanded armed security and locked gates and doors.
What we don't want, is to lose one of our Bill of Rights in order to pretend we've fixed the problem.

On the other hand, we are totally disgusted with illegals being allowed to stay here and breaking laws and, in some cases, becoming violent.
It sticks in our craw, more so than when a citizen breaks laws and becomes violent, because the illegal SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!

Are federal courthouses "fortresses?" Congress? The White House?

I understand that important people enter those buildings who are often targeted and need protection because they are vital to the nation.
