He never mentioned the nazis by name. I believe what he was suggesting, and it has been repeated by those who live in Israel by the way (and even Bibi himself), many who lost their ancestors in WWII); that the depravity of Hamas on that day and even when they had hostages was void of any compassion or gentleness. Worse, perhaps, than even the average German soldiers constitution.
I wouldn't have made such a comparison even in a broad manner and he wasn't doing so either, it's a matter of language in the moment and the fact that many in Israel had ancestors who suffered in Germany so it is a relatable comparison. Trump employs the use strong comparisons as he wants the world to understand the justification and need of Israels response, now and in the future to Hamas evil. I have not met anyone in the flesh who has watched as many hours of video pertaining to WWII or the following Communism which the West fought. The reading alone I have done has been extensive.
As such, I consider myself an authority on the subject but I won't confuse what he said with details of instances in Germany as it is not really relevant to me. I would be willing to argue though, that outside of the Japanese soldiers of WWII, there has rarely been a modern REGULAR soldier as depraved and devoid of conscience than that which Hamas engaged in. The descriptions are enough for me, I won't watch the video.
