I am sure everyone wants to take credit for this. I’m just glad the people impacted by the hurricane are getting some assistance.

Former President Donald Trumprevealed on Monday that he had reached out to Elon Musk in an effort to provide Starlink satellite service access to North Carolina, which is currently grappling with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Trump expressed concern over the lack of communication infrastructure in the state following the devastating storm.

From what I saw it was the Cajun Navy that requested got it and been delivered. No one is reporting trump did it with the exception of X and gateway pundit.

Musk is the end boss.

Starlink, Space X, X formerly known as Twitter, Neurolink, boring machines. The guy is a common day Edison but he does it on such a grand scale.

I find it insulting that people call him names when most of the wealthy people around him made money through the government or stock arbitrage or hitting it lucky with a .com overpayment by some buyer. If Elon is stupid, than G-d help the rest of us.

Musk hasn't discredited the report .. Musk is working with Trump to get coms up and running while the lefts incompetent leaders are absent ..

I guess the alt right (you and other's) didn't know starlink, cajun navy and fema worked a deal two years ago. Trump had nothing to do with it.

What if suddenly your wi-fi stopped working? Followed closely by your cellular phone? No TV or radio signals coming through either? Could it be a zombie apocalypse? What's more likely--you're one of hundreds of thousands affected each year by #communications #blackouts during and following natural disasters. During many natural disasters, these blackouts are unavoidable. But afterward, aid and recovery efforts are commonly hampered and slowed by slower-than-usual communication. In Tuesday's post (https://lnkd.in/esiTzEF6) we examined the role of ham radio in these scenarios. Ham, unfortunately, is riddled with limitations, red tape, and a steep learning curve. SpaceX's #STARLINK looks to offer a solid alternative.Since #STARLINK began to roll out in beta markets a few years ago, SpaceX has been sensitive to the fact that there are applications for their technology that reach far beyond being our ISP of choice. They have proactively sought out ways to include those in need in their early testing, because let's face it: if you've ever been stranded before with no way to reach family even a few miles away--a connection with a few bugs is better than no connection at all. The first to use #STARLINK technology in the field was a group of emergency responders with the Washington state military. They were able to provide "zero-day" communications through an early partnership with SpaceX. (https://lnkd.in/gPu36Ue)More recently, and as part of a deal with the FEMA and the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service, SpaceX provided 20 #STARLINK terminal kits for use in areas that had been hit by a series of devastating tornadoes. "Satellite-based Internet access like #STARLINK has shown promise for providing Internet connectivity in disaster areas. Natural disasters can create conditions that make reliable communication options like Internet access difficult to maintain." (https://lnkd.in/e34gsxCe)Hey SpaceX, how about hooking #CajunNavyRelief up with a couple of these to mount on top of our mobile command center???#communication #technology #disasterresponse #STARLINK #spacex #FEMA #CajunNavyRelief #CajunNavy #CNR #neighborshelpingneighbors photo: Washington Emergency Management Division

Yeah right, the man who has Elon Musk on speed dial didn't contact him right away, it was the "Cajun Navy" whatever the hell that is.

The United Cajun Navy used Starlink to help reconnect families in North Carolina flood zones after being cut off for days. The Cajun Navy brought Starlink units to western North Carolina to help with internet access.

FEMA has also been sending Starlink satellites and search-and-rescue teams to help with recovery efforts in areas that have experienced complicated recoveries. FEMA has provided technical assistance to help communities identify the best ways to rebuild.
