I grew up in a mostly white town. Went to a mostly white school. Attended 2 mostly white colleges. I was the only black on the wrestling team. I worked on jobs where I was the only black person surrounded by whites. This is the experience many blacks have. You guys brag about being 5 times our number but don't seem to get that because we are exposed to whites almost all the time, we earn about white people.

Not the only white, but the whites were only a few to the blacks. Broadview, IL - Cosco Graphics back in 1974. I was friends with them all. I rode delivery in downtown Chicago with one, invited another to my baseball games. Also, worked with a black cook at Montgomery Ward Cafe, he taught me how to make gravy. He too was invited to my baseball games.

I went to an all black Bar in St. Louis, walked in and got some really strange looks, but hung around for over an hour with a black man I befriended in St. Louis. They were as polite as anyone I ever met. Even did a little whitey funky dance with some of the ladies.
