Jerusalem’s Old City, in addition to Judea and Samaria, must be Judenrein within a year, according to a Palestinian-drafted resolution, which the U.N. General Assembly passed on Wednesday.

The resolution, which passed by a 124-14 margin with 43 abstentions, is meant to give force to a July advisory opinion by the International Court of Justice, which declared Israeli presence to be illegal in any area over the 1949 armistice line.

More than 40 countries sponsored the resolution, which was the first that Palestinians filed after being granted unprecedented privileges, for a non-U.N. member, earlier this year.

The resolution calls on the Israel Defense Forces to withdraw completely from Judea and Samaria, eastern Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip within 12 months, which means evacuating all Jewish communities beyond the armistice line, including Jerusalem’s Old City.

Never going to happen

If this is true it is just more evidence that the U.N. has gone full fledged anti-western woke and no longer represents united nations at all. The United States and other freedom loving nations should withdraw from the U.N., eject it from New York, and form their own organization representing something approximating common sense and fair play.

Looking further into this. . .

". . .it is worth pausing to look at the vote. The numbers, 124 yes, 14 no, and 43 abstentions, show the usual UN majorities against Israel but hide the peculiarities of the vote.

Who voted with Israel and the United States? Argentina, Czechia, Hungary, Malawi, Paraguay, and the tiny Pacific island nations of Fiji, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Tonga, and Tuvalu. That’s it, and it’s an honor roll. American Jewish organizations should be calling and thanking the ambassadors of those nations.

What of all the nice, decent, democratic U.S. allies? They split. Many abstained, including Australia, Austria, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom. They understood that this was a completely one-sided, unfair, and unrealistic resolution but nevertheless lacked the guts to vote no. Not only the Israelis lose from these abstentions; so does anyone who thinks the United Nations might ever play a more useful role in the Middle East. (The one piece of good news here was that India abstained; ten years ago it would certainly have voted yes.)

But worse, far worse, were those Western democracies who actually voted for the resolution. They include Belgium, France, Ireland, Japan, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain. They have voted to remove Jews from the Old City. They have indulged a great expression of antisemitism, and agreed to apply to Israel standards of conduct that are applied to no other nation. They voted yes on a resolution that does not mention Hamas, Palestinian terrorism, or the Israeli hostages. This is a hall of shame. . ."

Hall of shame indeed. Our world has so deteriorated from the advancement into enlightenment it once was achieving, it is distressing and frightening.

East Jerusalem was Arab it wasn't given to the Jews.

Four Arab tribes were settled in the West Bank by Sargon 2.

Ethnic cleansing is a crime against humanity. Oh, wait? You want to ethnically cleanse Jews? From their historic homeland? From the holiest place in the world for them? Oh, that's obviously the right thing to do. Crimes against humanity don't apply to the Jews.

The Jews claim God gave them Palestine, but God didn't get rid of the Canaanites and the goyim.

Of course it was ruled by Egypt, the Greeks, Assyrians, Persians, Romans, Turks etc..

None of which has to do with the double standards that ethnic cleansing is considered a crime against humanity ... unless Jews.

I know. Israel continues to steal land and kill the resistance.

How do you like illegals in the US?

Deportation and dropped off at legal ports of entry to follow the legal process of acceptance.

It is a crime against humanity!

Considering what the Jews have been through, I'm surprised they would turn around and steal land and kill Palestinians.

No you muzzies attacked Israel and to the victors belong the spoils. It's history

I'm Episcopalian, not Muslim.

Israel always wanted to get rid of the Palestinians. In 1947-48 the Jews destroyed over 300 Arab villages.. They did the same thing to the Druze in the Golan heights.

It's pretty ugly. I can't believe they would be so inhuman considering what the Nazis did to them.
