But of course the US is working to destabilize the Venezuelan government. That's been Latin American foreign policy major for decades.

Retaliation: US expels three Venezuelan diplomats over sabotage allegations
By Fabiola Sanchez, The Associated Press
CARACAS, Venezuela -- Three Venezuelan diplomats were ordered out of the United States on Tuesday in response to their government's decision to boot three U.S. officials from Venezuela, including the highest-ranking U.S. envoy in the country.
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced the expulsion of U.S. charge d'affaires Kelly Keiderling and two other diplomats Monday, accusing them of conspiring with "the extreme right" to sabotage the South American country's economy and power grid.
U.S. officials vigorously denied the allegation and had hinted Tuesday afternoon there might be a retaliatory expulsion of Venezuelan envoys.

He's running a total break with South America.

Easy now. The US policies for Latin America have been abusive for decades. Do you recall the number of countries with democratically elected governments the CIA toppled often replacing with dictators, brutal to their people. Do you remember Hugo Chavez's most apropos statement about Bush at the UN. don't make this a partisan issue. America has a problem with interfering with the internal affairs of foreign nations, that's what threatens our national security and is what's responsible for us spending nearly half as much as the rest of the world on military to facilitate it and then to protect us from retaliation.
