Rand Paul and Mike Lee will vote “no” on spending bill if it reauthorizes warrantless surveillance

God bless them for trying to protect the American people, but they are wasting their time.

Obama illegally spied on US citizens, on reporters, on the media, on US Senators, and even USSC Justices .. and he did not give a damn if he had a warrant or not. He wanted it done - he did it...and even after it was exposed he was never punished for it. no one was.

Obama illegally used the IRS as a political weapon against American citizens, and - again - after it was exposed NO ONE was punished for the CRIME.

Getting Obama out of office did far more to protect US citizens from such future crimes than refusing to renew the warrantless wiretap authorizations will. Unfortunately many Obama holdovers are still in a lot of places where they can still do it if they want. (Doesn't have to be 'Obama holdovers' - just someone with ambition and a desire to do so.)
