Wall Street is fed up with Trump's tariffs. Stocks are off to their worst start to a year since 2022

Trump's trade war is lowering tariffs for Americans around the world and bringing new customers to American business.
 
The problem isn't that we were bad at manufacturing, it's that the things we made lasted, and therefore cost more without having to buy something again every two years, China then infests our country with cheap junk, that you can buy every two years, no problem, and bang, bye bye manufacturing, that and over taxing the manufacturing industry and over regulating it

Neither does Trump. He wants to orient a very well-developed consumer economy toward manufacturing. I can go with that without a problem. I don't think 60 to 70% of our fellow citizens can, though. Trump is finished if he finds their breaking point.

Trump will drop his tariffs if other countries drop their tariffs. That's the way it works. He's already in talks with Vietnam to do just that. What you on the left can't seem to grasp is that tariffs are a tool. It's not something that the country is locked into forever. Businesses will go to whatever countries aren't going to be hit with big tariffs. Countries that hold out? They're going to see businesses leave.

If Trump pulls this off...and I think he will...the Democrats can kiss the Working Class vote goodbye for a generation. Democrats used to care about Blue Collar workers. Now they're the Party of Coastal Elites and illegal aliens.

Trump is living up to what he ran on. Securing the border? Done in record time. Working on ceasefires in both Gaza and Ukraine? Negotiations are ongoing. Cutting waste and fraud in the Federal Government? DOGE is hard at work doing just that. Banning men from competing in women's sports? Executive Order signed. Requiring valid ID to vote in national elections? Executive Order signed. Bringing back jobs to America? That's what these tariffs are going to do. It's why the UAW supports Trump's policies.

What is the Left running on? More lawfare? Protecting criminal illegals from deportation? Financing more wars? Not cutting waste and fraud in Government? Men in women's locker rooms and playing fields? Allowing illegals to vote in local elections and preventing requiring valid ID to vote in national ones?

Your Party is screwed, John...it's being run by the far left and they care more about their agenda then they do about kitchen table issues.
