WAR! Blue States Becoming Rogue Nations

Final Word:

This is what the Democrats have learned from their troubled and defiant history

29 May 2025 ~~ By Steve Eichler

One of the underlying reasons for the American Civil War was the States ignoring federal authority and demanding independent rule. The American Civil War was Democrat states rejecting federal authority and asserting their right to govern themselves independently on many issues, including slavery.
The Democrat states, mostly Southern Democrats, demanded states' rights: Southern states believed they had the right to make their own laws without interference from the federal government.
Today, while slavery is no longer an issue,
the same Democrat defiance is still at play
The federal government, especially under President Abraham Lincoln, sought to limit states' authority, which included the spread of slavery, which Southern states saw as a threat to their autonomy and way of life.
The result was a bloody war and full secession as 11 Southern states seceded from the Union, forming the Confederate States of America, in direct defiance of federal authority.
Today, while slavery is no longer an issue, the same Democrat defiance is still at play. As political tensions escalate nationwide, local Democrats are facing mounting criticism for what many on the right see as a pattern of obstruction, defiance of federal oversight, and refusal to comply with laws designed to safe-guard national interests and community safety.

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)
Beyond the agency itself, Greene and other conservatives see a broader pattern: state and local Democrats, particularly in progressive strongholds like California, New York, and Illinois, have implemented policies that directly defy federal authority. From sanctuary city laws that prevent cooperation with ICE to refusal to enforce voter ID rules, Republican leaders argue this defiance comes at a steep cost to public safety.
“This is about more than bureaucrats or one agency,” Greene said. “These are the people who actively destroyed America for the last 4 years and used Biden as a puppet to harness the power of the government for their own insane political goals.”
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a Trump-era initiative aimed at slashing bureaucratic bloat, has been largely sidelined by Democratic lawmakers and state officials, who argue it threatens regulatory protections and community autonomy. But supporters like Greene say DOGE is necessary to rein in unaccountable agencies like the GAO.
Underlying these debates is a deeper constitutional clash over states’ rights versus federal authority. For many Republicans, the current dynamic represents a dangerous precedent: unelected officials and local political leaders ignoring the law when it doesn’t serve their agenda, even if it means risking public safety in the process.
“If Democrats want to run their states like rogue nations, then they shouldn't be surprised when people start demanding federal accountability,” said one senior GOP aide.

Commentary:
The Civil War or what historians call the "War of Northern Aggression as it was all about the 10th Amendment to the Constitution and not about Slavery at the start.
Northern States with the help of the Federal gov't in D.C. were imposing tariffs on Southern produced goods and placing high taxes on Southern States.
In many cases Southern States were aggrieved and correct bor the bad treatment they received. They did not seek to conquer the North but to secede from the Union. They sought to create their own nation.
One must always remember that History is shaped by the victor.
As today the Northern States were more populated and more industrialized than the South in he 19th Century.
Additionally, the Southern States rejected the enumerated powers of the federal government, specifically Congress, are those powers explicitly granted to it by the U.S. Constitution, as listed in Article 1, Section 8 that delegated powers, and defined the scope of federal authority.
They fully believed that the federal government was and is, as written in the Constitution, merely a coordinating agency for the benefit of the sovereign States. not a ruling authority, but a commonwealth of States and they were not subject to the dictates and usery taxes imposed from Washington D.C. by a Congress with a majority made up by the Northern Democrats.

Did you forget all that bullshit that texass was talking a couple of years ago?

In our leftist-loony state, they passed a huge taxation bill on everyone, claiming it was needed to end its deficit and fund various programs.
States like Idaho, South Dakota, Utah, Texas and Florida can balance a budget and even have a surplus, but in the blue states, they bleed us dry with taxes, claiming deficits. What it is, is wild spending on anything and everything. Once they take almost all of our money, they will have us working for the state, not ourselves.

So has New York city and the State.... Then recently there's citizens in Oregon that want to secede from the state and become Idaho.

A.I. says:
"In the 20th and 21st centuries, there have been various local and state secession movements, including attempts by regions in California, Colorado, and Texas. Notable examples include the efforts of Staten Island to secede from New York City and the island of Nantucket's multiple attempts to break away from Massachusetts, though all such movements have ultimately failed."

in other words they (state officials) no longer have control of fed funds?

No DOGE does not interfere with state funds. It was formed to audit, analyze and reduce overspending and waste in agencies created within the federal government.
For example USAID and their spending.
Can you name one state that DOGE has audited?

The whole idea is for the states to use fed money help their citizens.

They get allocated so much money for a particular purpose (say education) based on population and then it's up to them not to squander it away....If they do then it just sucks to be them.

States like NY and CA always have their hands held out for more money than they are entitled to.

There are geographic boundaries that will probably become national borders for Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and the west coast. The west coast is losing the trade and tourism that made it wealthy and the water that allows the current population and agricultural production. It will be greatly diminished when it is finally cut loose.

Ain't that the truth...
In NY state, NY city gets the cream off the top all other cities scramble to get the rest...
Towns and villages get little to nothing.
I spent twelves year on a town board trying to get money from the state to improve the town. T'was like pulling teeth...

The main reasoning of the States is that Trump wants to do away with the Dept. of Education and allow the individual States to manage education.
In doing so States can and would likely lose Federal funding as it is done today...

Red states can’t afford to lose the funds.
