So why should we want to hear from over-paid people who lead other people’s life or bang into each other in sporting events? What makes them so special? Their education? Sports stars get the biggest breaks once they’ve been identified as being useful to the big sports corporations with easy classes at all levels.

What is it about rich and famous performers and athletes who don’t believe society’s laws, rules, or good manners apply to them? They speak out and then complain about being oppressed when they suffer the consequences. They don’t like their free speech having to endure the competition of the free speech of those with opposing views.

Well, football players are nothing but modern day Gladiators. I am not sure why they should be considered experts on social issues.

They should all be active in their communities in addition to taking a knee, or better yet, instead of taking a knee.

Cops, plumbers or roofers do not have the national attention that entertainers do. Nobody in the MSM cares if your lawn care guy says he voted for Hillary and hates Trump. However this is less about a person(s) political position than it is disrespecting our national symbols such as the US flag or National Anthem.

If every black football player says they are against this or that, I don't care. But when they give the middle finger to the entire US, some of us will respond by giving the middle finger right back. Their claim is that the US flag is nothing but a cloth with color dye. But when a piece of cloth has the same dye that represents the confederate flag, they then claim that the cloth means something offensive to some people and should be removed from public view.

Pure hypocrisy at it's best.

The opinion of a former Cop named Steve Pomper doesn't rise to the level of national political interest About 97 Police Officers died in the line of duty this year to protect the rights of idiot overpaid NFL f'ball players to exercise their 1st Amendment rights. For some reason the republican establishment decided to grasp defeat from the jaws of victory and guys like Pomper decided to portray hard working Americans Cops and roofers as victims rather than the people who helped elect the President.
