Why do big cities vote Democrat?

Aren’t they all dirty, disgusting, dangerous shitholes?
Why would the populous continue to vote themselves down the shitter?
1. It's easier to find work in large communities as opposed to much smaller ones.
2. It's easier to obtain government handouts in large metropolitan areas, should they lose their jobs.
3. It's easier to find like-minded groups to identify and socialize with.

The money doesn't really go to the poor. And the GOP are really the only ones helping the poor. GOP people give more of their own resources to the poor in terms of time and money than do Democrats.
Charity sucks, very high overhead and corruption, dries up in hard times. GOP BS...The RICH GOP don't give much, just the suckers...lovely people except their totally misinformed politics...

Breaking: Democrats, fiend of the poor and working class RAISING GAS TAXES in California when then price is already over $6.60 a gallon in some areas. With 'friends' like Democrats who needs enemies.

So the government does a much job at handling our money? Boy, are you naive.

4. LOL minorities don't like white rural GOP areas....Actually rural areas have great services and no lines...

No we don't have a flat tax system, certainly not for income taxes which is the subject of discussion here.

When a single flat rate income tax is proposed democrats go insane screaming that it's too regressive.
It is regressive. It puts a bigger burden on low-income earners than high-income earners, for whom the same dollar amount equates to a much larger percentage of total income earned.

Like Mr Clean would say…those roadways low income earners use aren’t going to pave themselves.

One could make a flat tax that was not regressive if one allowed fair tax exemptions for the actual cost of living.
Which really is about $20k per household and about another $10k per dependent.
Doing it with a progressive tax table instead just causes more confusion.

Big cities vote democrat because big cities have big businesses, which are the most abusive and need government regulation the most.
Rural areas don't have the threatening big business that big cities have.
Much easier to get by on cottage industries in rural areas.

Low income earners do not get much out of society, so then they should not be paying much in taxes.
Hahaha…WTF you can’t be serious?
Surely you jest?
Low income earners:
Free birth
Free education
Free food
Free healthcare
Subsidized housing
They use the living shit out of emergency services….law enforcement / fire / paramedics.

Hold on… I thought you Lefties have said throughout this thread that all the “good jobs” are in the big cities….are we changing to it’s the “abusive jobs” that are in the big cities now?

I don't consider anything that pays less than $25 per hour a real job nor something to work really hard at. Show up, slow and steady. Econ 101.

That’s what Democrats want….a society full of gov dependent low income earners.
Econ 101-
Keep desperate thirdworlders out of America to keep wages high.

I’ve never heard of a flat tax proposal that wasn’t based on a percentage. Everyone, to a point, would pay the same percentage of their income in taxes.

The definition of a flat tax program is everybody pays the same percentage. A true flat tax system would be impossible considering the politics in this country.
