Why is 70% of oil imports come from Saudi Arabia? Now Saudi Arabia is pumping less oil and gas so the prices go up.

Well basically Biden ask Saudi Arabia to lower the price or pump more oil and gas and the government basically said to Biden a big no and to get lost.

This is so not cool if they did this under Bush the US would be bombing Saudi Arabia back to the Stone Age.

Why is Saudi Arabia being so nasty. It seems Saudi Arabia holding the oil and gas casuing the price to go way up.

You don't know anything about Saudi Arabia.

Oil companies prefer high oil prices. If you hate how much power Saudi Arabia and the Middle East have over the world because of oil, stop voting for the party that does everything it can to give more power to those who control oil.

US producers have the highest production costs in the world.

Be grateful KSA helps them stay in business.

U.S. goods and services trade with Saudi Arabia totaled an estimated $46.6 billion in 2022. Exports were $21.6 billion; imports were $24.9 billion. The U.S. goods and services trade deficit with Saudi Arabia was $3.3 billion in 2022.

So Trump will now force them to buy more US Oil&Gas - otherwise he is going to slam them with Tariffs

The quality of the crude oil can be very different between countries. Saudis have what is called the sweet crude which needs minimum amount of refining and investments compared to lets say canadian oil sands which need way more thermal, chemical and mechanical treatment.

Venezuelan oil is more like the tarry Canadian oil sand than Saudi sweet oil. That means even if the amounts are large, you need access to a lot of american, canadian, australian technologies. The Canadians can make money from that low quality crude because thet are so connected to the US refineries.

The US is producing the most energy of any country in the history of energy.

Most of it is exported. Only a couple of U.S. refineries can work it, like a few at the Texas Gulf and one up around Kansas somewhere. It's crap, and adds little to U.S. production and reducing prices. Thieu pipeline was also built like crap, and it constant leaks, which is why running that XL extension across a major water aquifier is something only morons think was a great idea and was going to save us all money n stuff. It benefits mostly Canada, not the U.S.

Canada’s Transportation Safety Board also noted 21 leak incidents on TransCanada’s Keystone pipeline system in its first year of operation — which would also include spills on the Canadian portion of the pipeline not documented by U.S. regulators — so the U.S. total of 21 total spills is likely even larger for the full length of the pipeline.

:hhello:

Question.

If the gay community protested against Chick-fil-A, I assume in the US too, and a large percentage of oil comes from countries that execute homosexuals, did they boycott buying gas too?

You F***** Fabricating asshole. You're only off by a factor of 10. Saudi sends 7% of our imports.

AI Overview
Canada is the largest source of oil imports to the United States, while Saudi Arabia is a smaller contributor:

Canada
In 2022, Canada was the largest source of oil imports to the US, supplying 52% of total petroleum imports and 60% of crude oil imports. In October 2024, Canada exported over 4 million barrels of oil per day to the US.

Saudi Arabia
In 2022, Saudi Arabia was the third largest source of oil imports to the US, supplying 7% of total petroleum imports. In October 2024, Saudi Arabia exported 172,000 barrels of oil per day to the US.

Typical USMB Jerk.

Do you have some kind of source on that.
Do you have access to a search engine?

On day one of the second Trump administration, the president declared an “energy emergency,” claiming the U.S. needed to exploit protected lands for drilling and kneecap the renewable energy industry to survive.

This fake emergency is not rooted in anything actually urgent—or fact. A March 2024 article by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) lays the truth out plainly: In the past six years, the United States produced more crude oil than any other nation at any time—nearly 3 million more barrels per day than the second most-productive nation, Russia. We also lead the world in natural gas production. The U.S. has never before declared an energy emergency, even when we faced genuine shortages.
