We used to zap ants with magnifying glasses in the sun as kids.

I squish wasps and spiders. For every insect you swat there's millions more.

Had a pet tarantula years ago. Used to feed her crickets. And an occasional pinkie or fuzzy baby mouse. Her name was Fluffy. I had her for 15 years.

Mosquitos and flies? Absolutely.

I leave the harmless and less creepy bugs alone though, like butterflies and dragonflies.

the skinny opaque spiders I allow to live. They are unable to bite a human and hurt no one. And in reality that species competes with the other spiders..
would rather have them than a brown recluse !
