A Long Island Republican Representative has blamed the growing issue of illegal immigration in New York on the city’s sanctuary policies.
Rep Nick LaLota pushed for Trump-like border policies of low tolerance, and said taxpayers “should not be forced to send one penny to NYC.”

LaLota also stated that Long Island had “rejected” the failing policies, and “should not be stuck with the financial, education and public safety costs of their self-created crisis.”
