Hit Songs the Year You Were Born

This reminds me of what was done recently on the American Idol show. I saw some of the show the night that the singers took a stab at songs that were released the year that they were born. To me, Tristan, Will, and the girl named Emmy are the best of who is left. Go here for what went to #1 in country music the year that I was born. The following are my favorites from the list.

"Fourteen Carat Mind"-Gene Watson
"Someone Could Lose A Heart Tonight"-Eddie Rabbitt (RIP)
"Lord, I Hope This Day Is Good"-Don Williams (RIP)
"You're The Best Break This Old Heart Ever Had"-Ed Bruce (RIP)
"Bobbie Sue"-Oak Ridge Boys
"Slow Hand"-Conway Twitty (RIP)
"Any Day Now"-Ronnie Milsap
"I'm Gonna Hire A Wino To Decorate Our Home"-David Frizzell
"Love Will Turn You Around"-Kenny Rogers (RIP)
"She Got The Goldmine (I Got The Shaft)"-Jerry Reed (RIP)
"Somewhere Between Right And Wrong"-Earl Thomas Conley (RIP)

God bless you and the Idol singers and my favorites who are still here always!!!

Holly

P.S. "Slow Hand" was the #1 song when I came along on June 30th. :) :) :)
