2. Here in Los Angeles, most Hispanic immigrants are hard-workers, but there is a sizeable percentage who are violent and/or irresponsible (e.g., driving drunk and killing innocent people). They -- along with an American-born group of individuals -- commit most of the violent crimes (murders, robberies, vandalism, etc.).

Look, many make the mistake (although not right), when referring to an entire group after seeing that group coming across illegally as a problem, and especially in regards to the identified group breaking the law in mass who are of a specific race and/or nationality of people when doing so. It's not pretty, but it happens when things go so wrong in these ways.
