When references are made to institutionalized racism, this is what is meant.

Nonsense. They're created to thwart racism and bigotry. But they do more harm than good. They dismiss equal rights in favor of "equity" (state assigned privilege).
See, here is the problem. Then you whine about my use of the term "you guys." What in the HELL do you call what white males did by law for nearLy 200 years? This whole system has been based on state assigned privilege for white males.

Don't even try it. Intelligent people know what's being sad. The willful try making those words equivalent to white racists. White males did exactly what I said and if that truth hurts, so be it. Don't try that tone policing bs with me.
It's not about tone. It's a direct accusation.

I guess it depends on your intent. If you just want to alienate people who might otherwise support your cause, you're nailing it!

It is a truthful description. I haven't alienated anyone who is about the truth. This is not "my cause" it is OUR CAUSE. And whites such as yourself need to understand rhat eding racism is your responsibility since whites created the construct, and then whites developed systems to enforce their belief in racial superiority. Racism is just as much a white peroblem as its a non white one.

What? Whites had the first slaves? Whites were the first people to treat people like second class citizens? Ever hear of the Caste system? Did Egypt have slaves. You are full of shit and lying.

Got an example of two comparable resumes with the white name versus the black name? The resumes can't be exactly the same, so they have to vary them. Let's see a couple.

We live in America and if slavery was too long ago to demand reparations most certainly using Ancient Egypt is too far back to try arguing about this. If you study what happened to all those places, you see they were destroyed.

The policies of imperialism and colonialism by white nations, better known as the west, have been an enormous problem and a cause of consistent destabilization. These policies have been enacted based on western interests, primarily understood as the profit margin. Usually, these interests have involved extracting natural resources in other lands that can create income for businesses in western countries. The maintenance of western interests has come at a high cost for the countries western nations have “interests” in. Millions have died in those countries because of western interest in what they could extract. Western governments have gone so far as to use military force to install governments that would be friendly to western corporate interests. All this because of the belief in white superiority.

DEI is not destroying Western Civilization.

There are way too many studies showing this to be the case, so just because you may not want to believe something is nobodys problem but yours. Do a search.

If there's that many, then you should have no problem finding an example.

I totally agree. I just don't think the government is the right tool for the job. The government should focus on equal rights. Society can, voluntarily and collaboratively, work out equity.

What Researchers Discovered When They Sent 80,000 Fake Résumés to U.S. Jobs

A group of economists recently performed an experiment on around 100 of the largest companies in the country, applying for jobs using made-up résumés with equivalent qualifications but different personal characteristics. They changed applicants’ names to suggest that they were white or Black, and male or female — Latisha or Amy, Lamar or Adam.

On Monday, they released the names of the companies. On average, they found, employers contacted the presumed white applicants 9.5 percent more often than the presumed Black applicants.

Yet this practice varied significantly by firm and industry. One-fifth of the companies — many of them retailers or car dealers — were responsible for nearly half of the gap in callbacks to white and Black applicants.

Two companies favored white applicants over Black applicants significantly more than others. They were AutoNation, a used car retailer, which contacted presumed white applicants 43 percent more often, and Genuine Parts Company, which sells auto parts including under the NAPA brand, and called presumed white candidates 33 percent more often.

It doesn't mean overt, extreme racism is rampant in America. It's existence is much more subtle and insidious than that. Some people may exhibit signs of racism subconsciously. Or not consider it to be racism at all.

What is much more difficult to measure than the job discrimination this study reveals is the affect on blacks in America. To what extent has it caused the economic and educational disparities that exist given what some call systemic racism has been going on for centuries.
Job discrimination in the United States is illegal under various federal laws, including the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Equal Pay Act.

Discrimination occurs when an employer treats employees or job applicants unfairly based on characteristics such as race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetic information.

To determine if an action constitutes job discrimination, it is important to consider whether there was disparate treatment (treating individuals differently based on a protected characteristic) or disparate impact (policies or practices that disproportionately impact a protected group).

It is also essential to assess if the alleged discrimination affected the terms and conditions of employment, such as hiring, firing, promotions, pay, benefits, training, or job assignments.

The Supreme Court of the United States has addressed job discrimination in several landmark cases. One significant ruling was in the case of Bostock v. Clayton County in 2020, where the Court held that Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 protects employees from discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

Furthermore, in Griggs v. Duke Power Co. (1971), the Court ruled that employment practices that have a disproportionate impact on a protected group, even if not intentionally discriminatory, may still be considered unlawful discrimination under Title VII.

Oncale v. Sundowner Offshore Services, Inc. (1998) established that same-sex harassment is actionable under Title VII, extending workplace protections to all employees regardless of gender.

These cases demonstrate the Supreme Court's willingness to address various forms of job discrimination and uphold the principles of equal opportunity and non-discrimination in the workplace.

If anyone believes they have been a victim of job discrimination, they can file a charge with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) or their state's fair employment practices agency.

It is advisable to seek legal advice to understand your rights and options under the law. :)

Edit: Now there are two versions of TV series or movies in the US: White version & Black version. Did you ever watch Charmed? That's obvious, right? And Romeo and Juliet would be coming soon, probably. Yes, consumers' choices. lol. :)

You've probably seen it happen or have done it yoursef so I'm not playing the show me proof then when proof is shown deny the proof game.

I'm glad you believe it's that simple. But in reality it isn't. You must have heavy documentation that proves a pattern of discrimiination over time. And so it is just not so simple as if you believe you can go to the EEOC. All kinds of things are illegal by written law, but they continue to happen.
