145 Democrats vote against bill to deport migrants who commit sexual assault

The law requires a conviction for the six crime first

OR an "admission".

Which means all a cop has to do is say, "Yeah, Paco confessed to slapping around his old lady" before Paco can see a lawyer, and he gets deported with out due process.

Conversely, an undocumented immigrant fightingback against domestic abuse can be charged with a violent crime.

Oh good grief.."racism"...hasn't a darn thing to do with it.

Apparent he was arrested in 2023 for attempting to harm someone less than 17.

There are others in the same situation, who were released and then went on to commit murders.

Okay, so what? We don't arrest people because they MIGHT commit more serious crimes.

He was arrested because he gave his kid a ride on a moped. Technically against the law, but the kind of thing they write you a ticket for.

No we have deportation hearings

Yes if they confesss they’ll easy be convicted

Self defense is a valid defense, but since the are illegally they are alresdy deportable

his isn't the only one though. There are others. Had Ibarra been deported instead of released, he wouldn't have had the chance to kill anyone

Except Ibarra had been granted political asylum because Venezuela elected a government we don't like.

That was kind of the problem there.

Nothing he did before he killed Laken Riley was that big of a deal. Nothing that would have even been a mild inconvenience to a white person.

*illegal immigrant

Let’s be precise on our language

I am. They don't have documentation, so they are undocumented. No one is "illegal".

No we have deportation hearings

You mean the ones that take years to resolve because there are so few judges to hear them?

They don’t take years

They don’t take years

Sure they do.

The Department of Justice's Executive Office for Immigration Review holds immigration hearings to determine whether noncitizens will be removed from the country. As of July 2024, there's a backlog of about 3.5 million pending cases.

Noncitizens are expected to attend their hearings. Failing to show up could result in removal from the U.S.—unless a judge waives their appearance. But the Office's case management system doesn't collect data systematically that shows whether someone appeared at hearings or whether a judge issued a waiver.

Quit beating your illegal gf then.

Yes in 2024 and the last four years that’s been true.

Xiden and the Dems are failures

Actually, it was true before that... Biden deported more people than Trump did, but it's barely putting a dent in the issue.

Trump's mass deportations will never happen.
Xiden brought in more people then Trump.

and no it wasn't true, for example, during 2020, trump had a remain in Mexico policy, and heairng were conducted shiftly, on the border

Well, WHEN (not if) he fails, are you going to accept any responsibility?

You act as if they should just accept your judgement of failure should automatically be accepted . That won't happen, we find that simply you aren't as awesome as you think you are.

147 Republicans voted not to certify Biden's election following the J6 riot.

Except we really aren't.

Our laws also allow for people to come here and claim asylum, but Trump is now denying them the ability to do that.

To be granted "asylum" they must present them at an accepted port of entry, not just because they walked through the desert to get here. Educate yourself.

Lie.

They don't follow those laws because the invaders know they don't have a valid asylum claim. Wanting money is not a valid basis to claim asylum.
