It's a Catholic school and real Catholics have a zero tolerance stance on abortion. So it's their choice to fire the teacher. Abortion to most Catholics is the worst thing you can do. So I can't say I am surprised.

Many of the old old old Catholic Universities like Notre Dame, have lost their Catholic identity and allowed secularism to creep in. Its a real shame. I don't know about this one.
