The actual rejection of the Obama Administration new policies itself likely ebbed-- a slightly different take from House Minority Leader Pelosi's assessment--in 2014.
The big turn-away from the New Administration may have happened in 2010. That was a 40+% turnout, compared to a 36.6 % turnout this time out. Even in California, where it didn't matter much, lower turnouts generally mean fewer Democrats. There was no rejection of the Obama Administration along the West Coast. California, and West Coast, Democrats worn. Democrats are the majority party in California, and nationwide. Socialists are actually the most minority party--though in one state, they have been able to elect a Senator(?)! The Republican Party still does not hold that office. The Republicans probably do not support the lesser minority party, and no one would say they do. The Republicans do not support the low voter turnout, increase of Minimum Wages, and no one would say they do. There are too many other issues like that.

So no policy rejection, or new rejection, of Obama-Biden would be easily said to characterize the turnout. Since the lower turnout was likely at the expense of the Democrats, then there is mostly stronger evidence for widespread support of the Obama-Biden Administration. Widely noted is that Five States actually accepted the Obama-Biden concept of an increase of Minimum Wage. That is a clean, pure, and complete rejection of Business Unfriendly, Obstructionist, McConnell, Boehner, GOP. The Republicans are not liked, and neither are their Obstructionist tactics, including on matters such as Immigration Reform. Now they get a pipeline, in the middle of a possible glut of oil. That damage to that industry could surface because of them, depending on the successes of alternative fuels. Cheap Oil forever is Oil State friendly(?)!
The Koch Brothers would have made better sense actually raising wages, maybe in their own industries, or maybe collaborating with Buffet and Bill Gates in matters such as Malaria Eradication. President Obama, Vice President Biden, Representative Pelosi, and likely Senator Reid could have been on board!
