Lord know I have problems with the Republicans.. but here is a guy who realizes what the Dems have done to all of us, especially minorities.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/embed/n_YQ8560E1w?autoplay=1]Elbert Guillory: "Why I Am a Republican" - YouTube[/ame]

Why do Republicans always try to act like they are the same party of old? They are not. They always bring up all these wonderful things that Republicans did for the country and how Democrats were the opposite of them.
What you never hear them talk about is how they stood up for workers rights and unions while Democrats didn't. Today they are the unions biggest enemy.
They stood strong on welfare and social security while Democrats didn't. Today they are trying their best not to make it better but to gut it.
Republicans were for the working man. Democrats were not.
Today Republicans are the corporation party. Just look at how the republican states are the poorest, least educated, least healthy. They are the absolute worst states for people. BUT they are the best states for corporate growth. You figure it out.
All you need to do is look at their own words from way back then and compare them to the actions of today
Just look at this quote from Eisenhower
http://boldprogressives.org/2012/08/the-surprisingly-progressive-republican-party-platform-of-1956/

“Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things. Among them are…a few…Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or business man from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid,” wrote Republican President Dwight Eisenhower to his brother in 1954. Unfortunately, this splinter group is now in charge of this once-respectable political party."

Here's another good one

Now go on and keep trying to convince me they are the same party.

Same party or not... the Dems have kept the minorities "in their place". Show me any ghetto, and I will show you a city where it has been Dem controlled for decades, and full of minorities. Obama "the food stamp president" has been on board with the government dependency as well.

In what city was Obama a community organizer? I think it was Chicargo.
Hmmmmmmmmm..........
