ABC Reporter Writing Book On Biden's Afghanistan Disaster Reportedly Disappears After FBI Raid

I did hear a statement from ABC that they received a hasty "resignation letter" from the dude a day or so after the raid. Possible that his laptop didn't CONTAIN secret documents and maybe it contained something like child porn? DUNNO. Like the floated FBI statements about "nuclear secrets" at Mar-A-Lago?

Maybe this is a Soviet style "compromat" operation to SILENCE him and the book? To compromise him SO BADLY that he WANTS to disappear?

This is what turned all my Silicon Valley Russian refugee friends and colleagues from scientists and engineers into conspiracy freaks. EVERY good conspiracy that involves the govt involves some kind of major cover-up.

Maybe Dark Brandons' meltdown about the "End of Democracy" is actually true. Because this disappearing of the press and questionable raids and shakedown of political opponents by the dozens IS like the Soviet Union and what Putin still does even unto this day.

Wow. The guy gets raided and doesn't get charged? Sounds like a Trump MAGAmovie.

This story actually has some heft to it. Rolling Stone reported it...not the usual crazy-for-koo-koo-cocoa-puff websites the bullshit distributors and their buddy mods rely on.

It highlights the danger of the crying (and the allowance of the crying by the mods) wolf 18-50 times a day. Nobody believes you when there is an actual "oh my gosh" story.

There are dozens of simple explanations that range anywhere from the author simply laying low (which makes the most sense--if I was raided by the FBI, that is what I'd do) to something nefarious happening to the FBI placing him in protective custody while they sort things out to the more fanciful foul play innuendo we see here from the lesser lights--they could be right of course.

There have been so many bombastic losers who have done crazy stuff and wound up in jail, shamed (or both) that when someone does the smart thing and just goes off the grid and doesn't supply the feds with any more ammunition or leads, it's seen as being odd these days.

It may be legit for whatever reason, but since there are no specifics it does nothing but create a bunch of cackling responses.

Well, president trump, about FBI director, we know this fantastic candidate, Chris Wray, an attorney in the W Administrstion, an attorney for the W Administrstion

An attorney for the W Administrstion

How FUCKING STUPID was it to appoint "an attorney from the W Administrstion" as FBI director?????

Mr. Trump, we cannot afford errors like Chris Wray....
Agreed. Trump needs to get hip to Washington D.C. underhanded politics.

This guy was clearly getting too close to the answer to the question

Why do W and Biden both LOVE the Taliban???

The Taliban are the "good guys" who the CIA recruited for the Mujahideen in 1979.
They never liked bin Laden, arrested him several times, and only tolerated him because the CIA made them.

Ok, so you are saying he's probably laying low somewhere not in touch with anyone for six months. And the reasons for that could be 1) he does not want to give the FBI any more information? That I cannot follow? Or, 2) the FBI is protecting him from being found? From who? Legal authorities? ABC? I don’t get that? Or 3) He is afraid the FBI might find him and prosecute him? Like they would not know exactly where he is?

IOW, I cannot think of why he would be laying low for six months? How about a few more of those “dozens of simple explanations” you say could be good reasons for his disappearance?

Notice that this story says that Meek was the 'target' of a federal investigation. They don't say what KIND of investigation in the article. Then, it goes on to read: 'the FBI allegedly found calssified information on his laptop DURING THE RAID.'

IOW they had nothing on him, they raided his home and found a laptop with 'alleged' classified information. The whole thing stinks. If you ask the FBI why this guy was a 'target' your answer would probably be: 'We don't talk about on-going cases.'

Maybe you should go join up with them (the Taliban), no ?

Well...sort of. I think that is the most logical explanation. But I don't know for sure.

Again...that is the most logical thing to do in a situation like this.
Or, 2) the FBI is protecting him from being found? From who? Legal authorities? ABC? I don’t get that?
Well, given the nature of the subject matter and the nation's (Afghanistan) history of assisting terrorists organizations, it is a possibility

Or 3) He is afraid the FBI might find him and prosecute him? Like they would not know exactly where he is?
That would be something I don't get. You're going to hide from the FBI? Okay...if you're a master woodsman like Eric Rudolph...maybe. This guy is like 6'7" and goes about 300 pounds if I recall from the article. I would think that he's too smart to think he's going to blend in.
IOW, I cannot think of why he would be laying low for six months?
Really? All you should do in this case is go into sleep mode.

Perhaps he's on the run in Bora Bora...or Afghanistan (he must have made a contact or two over there during the reporting). Maybe he's been killed by the Taliban. Perhaps he's just not answering his phone.

After reading the story, I have more questions than answers (as is evidenced above).
