JUST put on headphones and rock to the music...while you work!

How so?

I had to do it for 4 years at one job where all us buyers for the same area had cubicles facing each other..... I could not get anything done listening to them chit chatting or talking to their vendors on the phone....

the hubby gave me a cd player (no mp3's at the time) and wireless earphones so I could bop around my cubicle....to get things done....

The best thing that ever happened!

All other years I had my own office, with a door to close, to keep out the noise!

I always put on headphones too. You are right about that.

But if she/he/they catches you with you headphones off then you need a more diplomatic solution.

Just tell her you have a lot of work to do and can't talk. If she still doesn't take the hint, take her out for drinks, and...
