AD’ stands for ‘Anno Domini.'

Latin for ‘In the Year of our Lord.'

If any of you Leftists would like to vandalize it, you have my permission.

so?

does this mean the moon belongs to you?

Here's the way I see it...

christians demanded that we use AD in our measuring of the years.

and now you say "so that proves god exists!"

ridiculous.

They COULD HAVE chosen anything as a designater.....

but christians DEMANDED that we use AD....

proving nothing.

Feel free to go and remove it if it bothers you

I had no idea this was an issue...

I remember a period of time when there was a push to switch from B.C. & A.D. to B.C.E. (Before Current Era) & C.E. (Current Era), but I don't see it used very often. I remember thinking, "Well, that's stupid" and I kind of think of myself as an soft Atheist...

and yet it doesn't say Jesus.
You figured it out! Our dates are based on lord krishna!

A.D.
“A.D.” does not mean “after death,” as many people suppose. “B.C.” stands for the English phrase “before Christ,” but “A.D.” stands confusingly for a Latin phrase: anno domini (“in the year of the Lord”—the year Jesus was born). If the calendar actually changed with Jesus’ death, then what would we do with the years during which he lived? Since Jesus was probably actually born around 6 B.C. or so, the connection of the calendar with him can be misleading.

Many Biblical scholars, historians, and archeologists prefer the less sectarian designations “before the Common Era” (B.C.E.) and “the Common Era” (C.E.).

Traditionally “A.D.” was placed before the year number and “B.C.” after, but many people now prefer to put both abbreviations after the numbers.

All of these abbreviations can also be spelled without their periods.
