It's a sad way to make a living but what makes it worse is the stigma that society puts on it. It really is a sub-culture of society and a massive industry. It isn't new to society it is now just so much easier to access. I remember at one point (again many years ago) the revenue from porn was more than Hollywood! Not that the actors see much of it as it is a numbers game I'm sure.

It isn't an industry anyone would want their daughter to get into, but, they are humans and I find the abuse the public throws their way is ridiculous and not warranted. It's their life and body, who is anyone to judge? They aren't hurting anyone (but themselves really) and their self-esteem has to be so low they turn to ways to mask the pain inside. Worse if they have kids. I can't even imagine...


Like many occupations in life, there isn't one woman who plans to get into this industry. Many of them I'm sure start with stripping and then decide "I can make a quick buck". Or, they need to feed their addiction and easy money and easy clients with access makes them a servant to their habit.
