If DeSantis runs for president... then he should run for president. It is likely political suicide to run on Trumps ticket for VP even if Trump wins in 2024. If DeSantis is aiming for a presidential run in 2028 then should finish out his term as governor of FL which ends in 2026. That will give him 2 years to campaign for the 2028 presidential election without responsibilities to any other office.
