This looks like war-torn Europe. What a way for these civilians to live.

With pools of blood and shredded bodies on the streets, the rebel-held east of Syrian city Aleppo has been reduced to an apocalyptic battlefront under relentless regime and Russian bombardment.

Doctors at one of the last functioning hospitals said they were being forced to carry out swift amputations just to keep survivors alive.

"This morning alone we had 60 wounded come in," said Ahmed, a doctor who asked not to be fully identified out of fear for his life and for the hospital under persistent bombing and air strikes since a new offensive was unleashed on Thursday.

"We're carrying out a large number of amputations just so they survive because otherwise we don't have the means to treat them," he said.

Terribly tragic and sad.

I am not sure what can be done, except maybe get out of this involvement entirely.

It's Islam against Islam. Pretty impossible to pick a side and look as though you have done something good for someone.

I want to know where is HRW, AI, code pink, the screeching activists, etc who pile on when Israel kills a hamas terrorist. Why isn't the UN calling for a "special rappatoeur"...oh that's right, russia bombed them all last week.
That´s true! They were chanting "Death to Iran!!! Death to khameini!!! Death to Bashar!!! Death to Putin!!! Death to Nasrallah!!!" and were mistaken for terrorists by the Russian airforce.

They are not going to waste their time since no Jews are involved.

Syria hospital attacks constitute 'war crimes': Ban Ki-moon
Thursday 29th September, 2016: UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned the attacks Wednesday (Sep 28) on the two largest hospitals in rebel-held parts of Syria's Aleppo as "war crimes."
"Let us be clear. Those using ever more destructive weapons know exactly what they are doing. They know they are committing war crimes," Ban told the Security Council. "Imagine the destruction. People with limbs blown off. Children in terrible pain with no relief," he said. "Imagine a slaughterhouse. This is worse." The two biggest hospitals in rebel-controlled parts of Aleppo have been bombed in what non-government organizations residents say are deliberate attacks by the Syrian regime and its Russian allies to eliminate these structures.

In May, the UN Security Council adopted a resolution on the protection of health workers and facilities during armed conflicts, but there has been no letup in these kinds of attacks in Syria and Yemen. "International law is clear: medical workers, facilities and transport must be protected. The wounded and sick - civilians and fighters alike - must be spared," Ban said. "Deliberate attacks on hospitals are war crimes. Denying people access to essential health care violates international humanitarian law."

Ban cited statistics gathered by Physicians for Human Rights that show that 95 percent of the medical personnel who were in Aleppo before the war "have fled, been detained, or killed." "There must be action. There must be accountability," he said.

I still wonder how many hospitals Assad built there in eastern Aleppo...
4 years of Aleppo hospital bombing and there are still hospitals?
The reader should carefully look for pictures of destroyed hospitals coming with the news, cause I don´t find them.

So much bad news coming out of Syria. It is shocking at what is happening. I think I will emulate Baghdad Bob at the moment and join the pipsqueak in giving some of the news from various outlets..

But sadly, the far left dung that attacks Israel - recall the voluminous media coverage when Israel stopped those ships from Turkey attempting to break the blockade of the gaza terrorists - is utterly silent while russia, iran and syria carpet bomb whole cities containing millions of civilians.

Where is the UN, HRW, AI and all those so-called "human rights" groups? Where is the "special rapparteur" for syria? Why isn't there a tribunal formed to arrest and try assad for crimes against humanity for dropping barrel bombs indiscriminately on civilian areas?

In the past I've tolerated the voices of the UN, pro-muslims, etc trying to restrain Israel when she engages in a war with the scum hamas, etc to crush them - that will no longer be the case. These people stayed silent during syria - and will get ABSOLUTELY ZERO countenance now; they are shit to be ignored. Israel has a totally free hand as far as I am concerned, they can ethnically cleanse all of gaza today and I wouldn't shed a tear.
