Are Biden's issuance of presidential pardons going too far?

THAT is not the problem, Why do we excuse those we like & blame every thing on those we don't????
Should not ALL ELECTED OFFICALS be held to the same measure of honesty?
Yes, that’s why u dint have an issue with the vast majority of his pardons

Yes.

The pardons are going too far!

Why do you feel entitled to a "chance to prove them guilty"?
Seems you’re a stupid gaslighting clown. Why do you feel it is ok for someone to be above the law? Why wouldn’t accusers be allowed to prove anyone guilty of anything in your words yeah?

Take it up with the framers of the constitution. They gave the president the ability to put people above the law. Want to reform that power? I agree.

What ABOUT TRUMPS PARDONS????
OVER 150
LARGEST AMOUNT OF BAD ONES.. DRUG SALES COCAINE
THEN MONEY LAUNDERING MAIL FRAUD.
This pardons are for the fact the incarcerated have paid their due to society. Drug charges these days are much more lenient than they were back then. Something getting 50-life back then is now a slap on the wrist and a fine. So yeah he pardoned CONVICTED people due to time served being proportionate to the crimes they committed. Point to all the Trump blanket pardons that Biden just issued you dumb twat

Not really necessary to insult someone just because do not agree with them.
DO not agree with some of Biden's pardons. But of course have not had time to look at many, there just to many.
You did not read Trumps pardons. if you had you could have had a few questions your self.
Will attempt to read a large number of Biden's. And give you an opinion in a civilized manor

Change and challenge are not the same. They are two different words. Do you have difficulty with that concept? I said it could not be challenged and then you proposed an amendment which is a change. Did my suggestion of going with the amendment throw you off track that much?

Yes, they are. You can't change something without it first being challenged.

Now he pardoned Fauci and Milley. Pardoned from what? When have these people ever been convicted and sentenced for any crimes?

Biden pardons Fauci and Milley in an effort to guard against potential ‘revenge’ by Trump

"WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden has pardoned Dr. Anthony Fauci, retired Gen. Mark Milley and members of the House committee that investigated the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, using the extraordinary powers of his office in his final hours to guard against potential “revenge” by the incoming Trump administration.

The decision by Biden comes after Donald Trump warned of an enemies list filled with those who have crossed him politically or sought to hold him accountable for his attempt to overturn his 2020 election loss and his role in the storming of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Trump has selected Cabinet nominees who backed his election lies and who have pledged to punish those involved in efforts to investigate him.

“The issuance of these pardons should not be mistaken as an acknowledgment that any individual engaged in any wrongdoing, nor should acceptance be misconstrued as an admission of guilt for any offense,” Biden said in a statement. “Our nation owes these public servants a debt of gratitude for their tireless commitment to our country.”

It’s customary for a president to grant clemency at the end of his term, but those acts of mercy are usually offered to everyday Americans who have been convicted of crimes. But Biden has used the power in the broadest and most untested way possible: to pardon those who have not even been investigated yet. And with the acceptance comes a tacit admission of guilt or wrongdoing, even though those who have been pardoned have not been formally accused of any crimes."

What restrictions are put on pardons

As usual asked a question about Trumps pardons & received no relative reply's.
Did learn some thing, and will spend a little time looking at Biden's pardons.
Think he was very angry when he did many of them, so it maybe informative.

It seems USA = Ununited States of America 💔💔💔

The golden age of America? Not sure now, frankly.

👉 Pros of Presidential Pardons:

1. Justice and Mercy: Pardons can correct injustices or overly harsh sentences, providing a second chance for individuals who may have been wrongly convicted or rehabilitated.

2. Political Reconciliation: Pardoning individuals can foster healing in a divided society, promoting unity and moving past contentious issues.

3. Checks and Balances: The pardon power serves as a check on the judicial system, allowing the executive branch to intervene in cases deemed unjust.

4. Deterrent Against Abuse: Knowing that a president can pardon could deter future administrations from pursuing vindictive prosecutions for political reasons.

5. National Interest: Pardons can reflect changing societal values or priorities, aligning legal consequences more closely with current norms.

👉 Cons of Presidential Pardons:

1. Abuse of Power: There’s potential for misuse, allowing presidents to protect allies or politically connected individuals from accountability.

2. Undermines Rule of Law: Frequent pardons may erode public trust in the legal system, suggesting that justice can be circumvented.

3. Perception of Favoritism: Pardoning may create the appearance of favoritism, leading to perceptions of inequality in justice.

4. Political Manipulation: Pardons could be used strategically to influence political landscapes or gain support from specific voter bases.

5. Lack of Accountability: Pardoning can prevent victims of crimes from receiving closure, undermining the sense of justice within the community.

In lands divided, whispers grow,
A fractured bond, the seeds of woe.
When unity fades, the cracks will show,
A tearing tale of ebb and flow...

Pardons are meant for a president that believes the judicial system erred someone convicted, be it as time spent, or lack of faith in the judicial system. It is not about denying the judicial system to do their jobs and allow people the president likes to actually be investigated and tried for their crimes. I can’t see how anyone COULDNT have a problem with the blatant fuck you Joe Biden just sent the entire country on his way out
