Zone1 Are Jews Still the Chosen People?

Are Jews still the "chosen people?" Most Christians believe that God in human form (Jesus) fulfilled the Old Testament prophecy of a Messiah for the Jewish people. Since most Jews rejected Jesus, didn't they also reject God himself? If so, how could they still remain His chosen people? If they are not, what is their status according to Christian theology?
If God can be trusted to keep His word, then the Jews will remain the Chosen for eternity...

No. The Mosaic Covenant was erased on Calvary and that is why the Temple veil was torn, from top to bottom.

And behold the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top even to the bottom, and the earth quaked, and the rocks were rent. MT 27:51 (DRA)

Jews have 613 commandments and non Jews have 7.
1. Who wrote those commandments?
2. Are they all equal to the origin Ten Commandments?
3. What percentage of Jews today follow all 613 of them?
4. What the consequence of not following them?

1. Who wrote those commandments?
God (in my belief)
2. Are they all equal to the origin Ten Commandments?
What do you mean, "equal"?
3. What percentage of Jews today follow all 613 of them?
None. Not all of them apply to everyone.
4. What the consequence of not following them?
Different behaviors would merit different punishments if there were a religious court empowered with applying the law. Since there are no religious criminal courts, we leave punishment up to God.

I am disappointed that you chose to evade my questions rather than answer them.

I wonder why you have a problem with direct answers to 3 of them and a request for clarification on the fourth.

God is still spanking them, but they are still some of his chosen.

These were my questions:
1. Who wrote those commandments?
2. Are they all equal to the origin Ten Commandments?
3. What percentage of Jews today follow all 613 of them?
4. What the consequence of not following them?
Your answers appeared to be indirect and evasive. In the off chance this was not your intention, I will attempt to clarify my questions in a slightly different manner:

1. The Ten Commandments were inscribed on stone tablets by God. How and when were the other 603 commandments actually written and by whom?
2. Is obeying these other commandments as spiritually/religiously important as obeying the first Ten Commandments?
3. Do you believe that all 613 of these are Commandments from God? If not, why not?
4. What is God's punishment, if any, for not following his commandments?

These questions are all related to the OP: Why would Jews continue to be God's "chosen people" if they disregard and/or disobey his commandments?

Actually, we have two: Love God, love neighbor.

"On these two commands hang all the law and the prophets." -J. Christ
Christians aren't the only non-Jews. I think rosends might have been referring to Israelite code that they applied to their foreign neighbors.

But the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament may not include the entire Levitical or Jewish code. The Bible is not a code book; it's stories. The histories, poetry, and writings merely incorporate code, especially Leviticus, which comes as about as close to a code book as any of them.

dictated to Moses by God and Moses wrote them down
2. Is obeying these other commandments as spiritually/religiously important as obeying the first Ten Commandments?
Judaism makes no distinction between those 10 and the others. All are equally important.
3. Do you believe that all 613 of these are Commandments from God? If not, why not?
Yes.
4. What is God's punishment, if any, for not following his commandments?
God's punishment after death is best described as a separation from the divine presence and reeducation to realign the soul with God so that the soul can be returned to God's presence.

God made Jews his "chosen people". If that doesn't make sense to you, ask God.
