But why do New Yorkers get to control 99 pct of their states land? And are able to generate tax revenue from it.
The feds want to control 90 pct of san juan county, utah
The feds already control 2/3 of Utah.
Because states like Utah can't generate revenue from state land they receive more government funding.
This skews why conservative states get more federal funding than other states.
San Juan generates more tax revenue from it's 10 pct than funding from the feds who own the other 90 pct. If the feds move to get 90 pct of San Juan county, look for the sagebrush rebellion to continue.
