I agree that the ultra-MAGA Republicans are being unreasonable, but it is hardly fair to call the GOP-controlled House of Representatives a "do nothing" House that has refused to compromise and that has gotten nothing done. That is simply false.

Below are some of the bills that the House has passed under the McCarthy/Johnson Speakership, since January 2023 until now, not counting the budget compromise bill and the continuing resolutions that have been passed to keep the government open--and all of the bills below were sent to the Senate and then signed into law by President Biden:

HB4366PassMaking appropriations for military construction, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and related agencies for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024, and for other purposes.
HB7454PassTo amend title 49, United States Code, to extend authorizations for the airport improvement program, to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to extend the funding and expenditure authority of the Airport and Airway Trust Fund
HB1568PassTo amend the Tariff Act of 1930 to protect personally identifiable information, and for other purposes.
HB2872PassTo amend the Permanent Electronic Duck Stamp Act of 2013 to allow States to issue electronic stamps under such Act, and for other purposes.
HB6503PassTo amend title 49, United States Code, to extend authorizations for the airport improvement program, to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to extend the funding and expenditure authority of the Airport and Airway Trust Fund
HB2670PassTo authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2024 for military activities of the Department of Defense and for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths
HB3315PassTo exempt for an additional 4-year period, from the application of the means-test presumption of abuse under chapter 7, qualifying members of reserve components of the Armed Forces and members of the National Guard
HB1734PassTo require coordinated National Institute of Standards and Technology science and research activities regarding illicit drugs containing xylazine, novel synthetic opioids, and other substances of concern, and for other purposes.
HB1226PassTo amend title 38, United States Code, to allow for the electronic request of certain records, and for other purposes.
HB366PassTo amend title 38, United States Code, to treat certain individuals who served in Vietnam as a member of the armed forces of the Republic of Korea as a veteran of the Armed Forces of the United States for purposes of the provision of health care
HB2544PassTo improve the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network, and for other purposes.
HB4004PassTo approve and implement the Agreement between the American Institute in Taiwan and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States regarding Trade between the United States of America and Taiwan
HB423PassTo take certain land located in San Diego County, California, into trust for the benefit of the Pala Band of Mission Indians, and for other purposes.

This GOP House has been nearly worthless and certainly of harm to the American people.

You two are extreme, blind partisans. You are as biased and closed-minded as the ultra-MAGA Republicans whom you correctly accuse of being unwilling to admit that Biden has done anything good. It is radical partisans like you who are part of the problem. People like you are the reason our political debate has become so poisoned.

I read your list
Can you show anything that is a significant accomplishment?

If this is what you call legislative "progress" or "accomplishment", then Republicans are in big trouble.
Cause this is pretty much a routine, do nothing list of "accomplishments". Quite a few of these bills have Democrat support too. :)

You sound just like us, then, mike. Take a hike.

Golly, Thanks...

1 year and nearly three months and they've accomplished almost a week's worth of work.

Golly...

It is absolutely "fair to call the GOP-controlled House of Representatives a 'do nothing' House that has refused to compromise and that has gotten nothing done. That is simply true.'

When it refuses to compromise, the GOP fails.

When it refuses to compromise, the GOP fails.

If the GOP does not get everything they demand, they would rather get nothing

But they will have an indictment of Joe Biden any day now
And you see endlessly, people fronted to run for office as Republicans whose ulterior motives seem to be different than advertised. It is not easy to be one in D.C. Most of the Progressive media/entertainment fifth column has Republicans with targets on their backs. And the GOP politicians who are the loudest must be destroyed. There is no reason for these Republicans to leave before the election. This is what the voters fight year after year after year.
