Well..it sure would let poor parents off the hook..not sure that I see this as a bad thing, except of course, there is a lot of low-level fraud that goes on, involving illegal claiming of the EIC. Perhaps the most common is both parents claiming the EIC when only one is entitled~The ITS can stop auditing anyone claiming the unRarned Income Tax Credit
That is sure to let black people off the hook
I would point out that there are plenty of White, Hispanic and Native parents who are affected as well.
