I suppose it depends where one lives.
In the last century Europe was torn to pieces by nationalism of nation states. For now, having rebuilt a whole continent and built a unity based on democracy and shared values, there is little appetite for the stale old destructive nationalism.

This is not to say that there are those in Europe who suffer from amnesia and for whom nationalism has an attraction. The very young in Europe who are well-educated and well-traveled for study and work for whom the old national identities do not exist and they are supported by their grandparents who want to have peace and unity with neighbors.
