Special Counsel attended the meeting. McCabe was out of town, but joined the meeting via conference call. Shortly after the meeting began, the then-FBI General Counsel (“FBI-GC”) suggested, and Comey agreed, that McCabe should leave the call. Comey told us that he asked McCabe to drop off the call, and McCabe was “very unhappy about it.” Special Counsel also left the meeting. After discussions between FBI and Department leadership, on October 28, 2016, Comey sent a letter, over Department objections, informing Congress that the FBI was taking additional steps in the Clinton E-mail Investigation.

The DOJ has found no evidence that supports the IG report. A lack of candor? There are laws about lying but I know of no law that says anything about a lack of candor. The question is whether he is more interested in pleasing Trump than in running a honest investigation. We need a IG investigation of the IG.
