I find it rather amusing that civilians who have zero knowledge about the military other than stories from their relatives who actually served, books they've read, or movies they've seen can blame this on DEI.

You DEI idiots obviously don't know the training, qualifications that MUST be met, as well as the fact that pilots can be kicked off of flight duty if they can't perform.

No. It's not a question of if they need diversity, it's a question of who is qualified and can do the job. How do I know? I served over 20 years in the Navy, and served on both surface and aviation commands.

Ever consider that they were flying in hazardous conditions (at night), as well as the fact that the helo pilot was above their designated airspace?

I don't blame DEI, I chalk this one up to pilot error.

Saw it before in the early 90's when one of the pilots of our sister squadron flew into a granite cloud (the earth) because they had spent too much time looking inside the cockpit. The investigation on that one took around 7 months.
