Mass deportation sounds good, however actually doing it could be a disaster.
The Democrat states are saying that they will not cooperate with ICE.
They will be branding ICE as modern-day slave catchers.
They will be making documentaries about protecting and hiding illegal aliens from ICE.
The Left-Wing virtue signaling will be epic.
It might become an albatross for the Republicans.
One thing that Trump and the Republicans could do is cut-off the federal funding for illegal aliens.
If the Democrat states want them, make them pay for them.

I may be wrong on this, Trog but I don't think I am. I think what we'll be seeing is Governors in Democratic States like California, Illinois, New York and Massachusetts waking up to the realization that they can't pay for the services that all the illegals require and that the citizens of their States are going to go BALLISTIC when their taxes go up to cover the cost! I think those Governors will talk a good game but they'll be secretly BEGGING the Feds to come in and deport a whole lot of illegals to save their asses!

A microcosm of that is what's happening in Chicago with their Mayor announcing tax increases and having his constituents go off on him. Trump isn't going to bail those States out with Federal money. So how are they going to pay for their far left immigration policies? The answer to that is they won't be able to.

Well, as for the states that are ready to defy Federal orders, President Trump is masterful at making it very clear that if he doesn't get what he believes is right for our country, you don't get your funding.

Here's the thing...there is no way on God's green earth that we're going to deport ALL of our illegals! There are simply too many of them. That's reality. According to DHS it's more like 11 or 12 million, and they pay federal income, state and local taxes to nearly 100 billion a year. This is actually enough to pay off nearly a third of your medicare annual budget.
