I hired an appraiser from Kenya one time to work for my appraisal firm. I did not see his papers at all for being in the USA. I hired a loan agent who was from Nigeria. I did not see his papers either. Frankly employers would need to ask every hire to show papers and believe me that Americans do not walk around carrying their citizens proof either.
