This is another total waste of money by IPCC.

There is no evidence Earth's orbit has materially changed since 4.5 billion years ago. Each asteroid hit does slightly alter the orbit, but not materially.

And there is no evidence of "abrupt climate change" since climate change is about ice, and the speed of ice is, well, glacial...
 
...more of that incoming energy is being trapped by the oceans and atmosphere than at a past time.
