Whether the president knew of the abuses swirling beneath him is something which may come to light in the future. Whether he should have known more than he did and whether his arrogance and partisanship encouraged people to take liberties are things which will always be a matter of opinion.

What is clear, without any need for any further historical perspective, is that our huge bureaucracy is ripe for abuse, and Democrats think we should trust it with even greater control over our lives.

SMH.

Citizens need to know that every time a bill is signed into law it takes a little bit of freedom away. Most of the time the laws illustrate legitimate control the government needs to establish but sometimes innocent people can become felons at the stroke of a pen. So far the gigantic law that nobody read is about ten feet tall and the corrupt IRS is the administrator of Obamacare. Be careful what you wish for.
