China unlikely to blink first... So the f*** what?

Benefit no. We got a financial sugar high from cheap Chinese shit. By supplanting American manufacturing it reduces the tax revenue to the federal government creating inflation which then devalues the dollar. Very similar to a drug addiction. Of course one of the big problems now is that all the old American manufacturing factory buildings have been converted to condominiums. We're a decade behind in industrial construction.

But yes people do want cheap stuff there's no question about that. That's why fentanyl has become so popular.... It's less expensive than cocaine.
Cheap Chinese goods are not an addiction any more than food is. They’re a necessity and especially thanks to democrat economic policy. Money printing, entitlements and energy stifling.
This tariff step backwards will be no good if it isn’t given the time it needs to generate the multiple steps forward.

We had the longest stretch of low unemployment since 1969 and the cult had no idea.
They hate the same people who Trump hates and nothing else matters to these Ku Kluxxer wannabes. They swapped their sheets and hoods for red hats.
Its not "Bidenomics" its about "Bidenflation"

Americans need an extra $11,400 today just to afford the basics

Are the Brits obsessed with "blinking"? Do they trust king Chuck to make the right decisions when most of the Royals are morons? The tariff situation is an ongoing series of compromises and the Brits need to handle their own financial problems.

Decoupling from China was always inevitable. They were supposed to liberalize like So Korea and Taiwan and even Vietnam to some extent. Instead they used their economic power to become a malevolent wannabe evil empire.

Trump did not create China but he may get the blame for ending them as a threat, especially if this causes severe economic pain at home.

It's a shame.

Even Trump knows Jina and free trade date back to Reagan if not Nixon. Trump's gambit is the dems' tariffs and protectionist gambits that they lost the elections of 80, 84 and, to an extent, 88. And the DNC ebraced trade to win in 92, 96, 08, 12 and 20

Who gives a shit if they blink? Are we finally being reeducated to seeking quality instead of quantity? The last time there was a trade backup the Chinese had to fill warehouses with a bunch of useless crap that sat and rotted in place. The same thing is going to happen again this time unless they find other countries to dump their cheap shit on.

It's already happening..... The auto garages are now calling in vendors that were nearly out of business because of Chinese competition. Snap-on, Mac tools..... And other brand names who have foolishly moved their factories over to China are being pushed aside for American made brands from local toolmakers that don't break when you put pressure on them

Channel lock, Klein tools, Leatherman and numerous others that have been considered too expensive to buy are suddenly within range.
The manufacturers that had the satisfy the EPA and OSHA and the department of commerce are now playing on a level playing Field.

Want to buy a blender that doesn't break the moment you crush ice with it? Stop buying from the companies that have moved their labor over to China and you won't have any problem. It will be easy to spot them now because the prices will go up precipitously on those items. It's highly unlikely that Walmart will swallow that whole tariff they will want to pass it along.

There will be a period of adjustment like with any addiction.... our addiction to cheap goods has not been good for us. There will be those that will cry about it..... Eat your broccoli cupcake..... It's a lot better than that vanilla frosted cake you've been living on for the past 20 years

China blinked ..

People want stuff that is cheap. It allows them to have more stuff. China pays its workers very little. The US benefits from this. Americans benefit from people earning shit wages, living in polluted cities and working long hours.

And Trump has the gall to call China disrespectful...
its China that's doing everything you post .. and they are the lefts biggest overseas political ally and benefactor .

Trump said he was going to lower prices.

Did he lie?

Texas doesnt pay the minimum wage that California requires nor does it have the taxes and environmental regulations that California has. You guys are all happy when companies move from California to Texas.

Should the US comply with Sharia Law to import Saudia Arabian oil?

You are just typing babbling nonsense. It is cheaper to make shit overseas. That benefits US consumers. If you dont like what Americans are getting paid to do the work they are ALREADY EMPLOYED and doing.. raise minimum wages. What is wrong with you? If you want Americans to make more... support them making more. But you HATE minimum wage laws and want to RAISE the price of shit they pay for things. What the fuck is wrong with you?

NONE of you think things through.
That is why they like the blob; he doesn't make them think...in fact he encourages the opposite. In the mind of a blob supporter (and the blob) deficit=bad/surplus=good. While this is true in some cases, its not usually true when it comes to a trade balance.

Yes he does, because that’s disrespectful and he’s right to address it
