When did Rome become the most affluent?
Before its foundation, when the plebeians didn't come there, when there were only Latins. He was rich in spirit. The slave Rome of the Christian period was not rich in terms of miserable slaves. Only the owners were rich.

What collapse did not embrace an Empire's most inglorious period ?

And it was the Romans who invented Christianity with the help of Peter and Paul and in doing so wrecked the work of the quiet Nazarine .
There was no Christianity before 100 AD so your thesis is crackpot .

Christmas coincides with the beginning of slavery in Rome. This is the end of the republic.

By the way, the apostles promoted slavery.

Historians will laugh at you. They will tell you Rome fell because of internal corruption, like we are seeing in the US nowadays.
The US is becoming a plebeian country, corporations and feds are getting stronger, Trump has brought a lot of plebeians from Europe. Everything is going the same way, the Americans are turning into slaves and the republic will soon die.

Perhaps too much assigning blame, but there are a few things Americans should be cognizant of the signs of a declining society/nation down through the ages:

  • Affluence is a sign of decline
  • People choosing government handouts over working
  • Sexual pleasure given too much attention and assigned a greater priority
  • Lack of discipline in both following the law and enforcing the law
I am sorry I can't remember the source of these, but I haven't forgotten them. Outside of this, I remember an elementary school teacher telling us to beware if the government ever begins to meddle in how we raise our children.

Someone very familiar with history knows how to bring down a nation. Anyone else have any prime suspects on the person, who for a long time, is not only determined to destroy America, but seems to be succeeding?

This is exactly what happened when the Christians came and the republic turned into an empire

No. It is the Leftest revolutionaries that are destroying the US with corruption and oppression.

There was no Christianity until decades after the crucifixion.

Re: the republic.

Of course, Christianity alone did not turn Rome into an Empire, but it was one of the essential factors
