It is difficult for small market teams. The Angels are not. They pay for players and still do not win.try being an angel fan....
that has more to do with the crappy management and some of the has been players that they pay for...It is difficult for small market teams. The Angels are not. They pay for players and still do not win.
against the brewers and the cubs?....good lock with that...I still pick the Reds to win their division.
And the Cardinals and the Pirates.against the brewers and the cubs?....good lock with that...
they dont have the pitching or the hitting.....right now the cubs have the pitching but the brewers just lost their no 1 offensive player...so only time will tell....And the Cardinals and the Pirates.

No one in the NL Central is a "powerhouse"
The division will turn to the team that gets hot in August.

You really think today's standings mean anything? That the Pirates are better than the Reds or Cards?
Need I remind that the 69 mets were 10 games out on September 1st?
Cubs?they dont have the pitching or the hitting.....right now the cubs have the pitching but the brewers just lost their no 1 offensive player...so only time will tell....
so what?.....last year texas lost a game 16 to 3....and where did they end up?....Cubs?
Cubs that gave up 11 runs and 5 HR to the Pirates?
Right now isn't summer and summer at Wrigley is never kind to pitchers.
In texas?so what?.....last year texas lost a game 16 to 3....and where did they end up?....
last year the reds at this time were 18-22...this year they are 17-23.....were is the improvement?....the cubs last year at this time were 19-21....this year 24-17....the Brewers are about the same as last year....yea you need pitching and a couple of decent RBI guys....In texas?
You were bragging about Cubs pitching, remember.
Experience says that when the weather gets hot Cubs pitchers go cold.
Great in springtime when the wind blows in.
Cubs are last in their division in ERA and 3rd in WHIP.
Pitching you say?

And entering May the Pirates were 20-9 in 2023.last year the reds at this time were 18-22...this year they are 17-23.....were is the improvement?....the cubs last year at this time were 19-21....this year 24-17....the Brewers are about the same as last year....yea you need pitching and a couple of decent RBI guys....
so? the reds were 12-17 at that time and this year entering may they were 16-15....now they are 17-24.....and who is Skenes?....i dont see him on their 40 man roster....And entering May the Pirates were 20-9 in 2023.
The reds have the best of the mediocre pitching that lives in NL central.
It's probable that a game or 2 over 500 wins the division.
BTW...Skenes will be the Bob Veale of 2024.
He'll strike out a bunch of hitters and scare the crap out of everyone with his control.
Perhaps you should update your information?so? the reds were 12-17 at that time and this year entering may they were 16-15....now they are 17-24.....and who is Skenes?....i dont see him on their 40 man roster....
