Just in one state, Colorado, $3.8 million was withdrawn from ATMs outside the state using the EBT cards. Las Vegas, the Virgin Islands, Hawaii and other places were visited by EBT card carriers . Most people can't afford to travel to those places, yet those taking tax payer money are doing it no problem. If that much is withdrawn out of state, how much money is taken from local ATMs for things that are not necessities? I thought the deal was keeping a roof over their heads and food on the table. It never ceases to amaze me how so many on welfare can afford luxury things, like vacations, tattoos and other things that the average worker can't fit into their budget. If a person has extra money to blow on that shit, it's safe to say we could reduce the amount they receive each month and save the tax payers a bundle. Where is the incentive to complete education and look for work if you can afford to party on the tax payers' dime?
Before the libs rush in to claim the problem is too small to worry about, this is just one state where cards were used outside of the state. That doesn't include the money taken from ATMs at local casinos, tattoo parlors, pot shops and other places where non-essential items are purchased. It is a problem and we could do more to prevent this sort of fraud. Our country is in so much debt already and having a gross lack of oversight on government programs only makes it worse.

Have you wanted to take that dream vacation to the Virgin Islands or Hawaii, but couldn’t because you just don’t have the money? How about taking a weekend in Vegas? Well, a new report finds that Colorado welfare receipients are doing just that and you’re helping to pay the bill.
Arthur Kane of Watchdog.org investigated the ATM withdrawals of Colorado welfare receipients and found that $3.8 million was withdrawn out of the state over the past two years.
