Comrade Kamala offers $750 of assistance to Helene victims

They truly could care less. All they care about is winning and if they have a narrative that people believe, so long as it helps Trump, it makes no difference whether it’s true or not.
Trump took about $155 million from FEMA in 2019 to help illegals back across the border.

There is a max FEMA will give to any affected and the max is around $46,000. Not enough to rebuild but a start.

Trump started it with 2 million of his own money.

You must be referring to Oprah who didn't, and got raked over the coals for it.
Benedict Donald has a long history of stealing money from his so called charities. Why didn't he share links to the non profits already on the ground helping Americans in need.

Let's analyze this one. Comrade has decided there is just enough leftover money after they gave $200 billion to the Ukraine, and God knows how much money to their migrant buddies (illegal aliens), that $750 can be given to Helene victims.

What does $750 buy you these days?

Well, it's not even a mortgage payment for most people. And it's certainly not a rent payment either.

$750 might cover family groceries for a month. Perhaps 2 months if you buy really cheap and smart.

$750 gets you maybe a week in a hotel while the flood waters recede.

$750 might get you a month of daycare.

$750 might get you some replacement furniture and clothing. Some.

What are these people supposed to live on until the big insurance companies come through with a payment (If they even do -- if they can't weasel out of it somehow).

Do you think it might make more sense if Congress passes a law that mortgage/rent and car payments are suspended for 6 months?

Completely unacceptable.

The thing that's completely unacceptable is you and your fellow cucks believing the lies trump is circulating.

Claim: Storm victims will receive only $750

At a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, Trump suggested that those who lost their homes in the hurricane were only being offered $750 in federal aid, echoing a claim that has widely circulated on social media. "They're offering them $750, to people whose homes have been washed away. And yet we send tens of billions of dollars to foreign countries that most people have never heard of." Trump said.

This claim is misleading

The $750 referenced is part of FEMA's "Serious Needs Assistance" program, which is designed to provide immediate relief for essential supplies like food, water and medication. The program is one part of a larger package of aid available to those affected by the storm.

FEMA has said federal assistance for survivors has surpassed $210 million. President Biden previously announced that the federal government would cover "100%" of costs for debris removal and emergency protective measures in North Carolina for six months.

FEMA also debunked online claims that the $750 was a loan and that failure to repay it would result in people's property being seized. "This is not true. We do not ask for this money back," said FEMA spokesperson Jaclyn Rothenberg.

Claim: Federal aid is being diverted to support immigrants

A widely-circulated claim falsely asserts that FEMA has run out of money because it diverted disaster relief funds to support undocumented immigrants. Trump amplified this claim at a Michigan rally on Thursday, saying, "Kamala spent all her FEMA money, billions of dollars, on housing for illegal migrants" and asserting that the Biden-Harris administration "stole the FEMA money" to give it to undocumented immigrants.

These claims are false

FEMA has said it has funds for "immediate response and recovery efforts" from Hurricane Helene but it may face a funding shortfall as more storms emerge this season. The agency has said that no money is being diverted from disaster response needs.

Critics of the Biden-Harris administration have pointed to one FEMA initiative, the Shelter and Services Program, which gives grants to groups to provide shelter and other services to migrants. Its funding for the 2024 fiscal year, which was approved by Congress, was $650 million, a small fraction of FEMA's budget.

So is there anyone here who ..
  • Thought people would only get $750;
  • Saw people will actually get a lot more;
  • Say to themselves, "Oh, okay,"
  • And go on with life having been corrected?

Or will people keep insisting that they were never mistaken?

$750 buys a lot of food, water and medicine. If you piss it away at a casino that’s on you.
Food, water and medicine are free, at this point.
WTF are people going to do with $750?

Being in an impacted area several years ago, my mortgage, insurance and truck payment were deferred for 2 to 3 months.

I applied for additional $$$ and was able to pay their notes.

what are landlords or bank shareholders supposed to do then? After Katrina, Fema offered me a chain saw for free, but .... seriously? And as I recall, Home Depot didn't have any of them .... or generators. The saw, I had. The generator .... well I still don't have one.
