Looks like Pepsi overstepped their boundaries by using replica SFPD uniforms. How could such oversight occur from such a large company?

The tasteless Kendall Jenner Pepsi ad that sparked outrage earlier this week could land the soda firm in hot water with cops, according to a report Friday.

The commercial features actors wearing knock-off San Francisco Police Department uniforms — but the department never gave the company permission to mimic its gear, TMZ.com reported.

The police department is working with a government attorney to find out if producers of the ad can be sued for using the logo, which the city considers proprietary, sources told the entertainment news site.

The fake on-set uniforms were decked out with police badges, nearly identical to real ones, reading “San Francisco Police” above an eagle with spread wings.

In the tone-deaf three-minute ad, Jenner ditches a photo shoot, joins a peaceful protest, and hands a cop a Pepsi.

The ad should have depicted a SFPD cop handing over a Pepsi to a 5x deported criminal illegal as he was released back into the community.

Tone deaf ad? What was the problem? Oh wait. San Francisco is involved, I get it.

Lets see, a white celeb girl is at a protest she would never be at. Walks up to cops during a protest and hands him a Pepsi. And through the power of white girl giving or the power of Pepsi all the minorities start dancing and smiling and the cops no longer see a threat because how could a white girl who was nice enough to share a Pepsi with them be part of a "bad crowd".

They pulled the ad after the backlash. The problem is that it was approved on so many levels that I wonder who the hell is in charge of their advertising to be so tone deaf

This is why so many in sales mock marketing teams. Trying to sell an unrealistic story to Snowflakes, rabble rousers and professional protesters. They should have just showed some wealthy socialist behind the scenes donating money to organized conmen and professional victims if they wanted to be realistic.

I'm sure more cops bought a case of coca-cola after seeing that commercial than they had the entire year.
