I had a "pet" crow as a teen that was found sick and dad brought it home and we nursed it back to health.

My dad had one of those clothing trees that had a change tray.....The crow would take all the silver out and carry it upstairs and put it in his "nest" (a old wood apple crate) that I put in my room.

The crow hung around a couple of years and would sit on the porch railing about dark to be let in. One day it did not come back and it was the last i saw of it.

crows can also learn to talk .
