My Papa told me repeatedly to get a trade, I also give the same advice to my children. Do not fear the loss of jobs to China, they will return as will many more from other nations. China will go through the same over production and rising labor wages just as the US has had.

Happens all the time.

Or learn a trade that you use as a springboard to start your own business, where you employ other trades people.

I did that and was most profitable in my endeavour. But there were times I lost my azz.
